ADC12C170: input peak to peck voltage

Yes, the differential input can be 2Vpp when using the recommended 1.5V common mode voltage. Each differential input (+ and -) will be 1Vpp and 180 degrees out of phase.

As per your above reply if i apply input like below signal . ADC will work fine. Is it So?But in my case when i applied input signal (below) it work fine and i will increase further then it will saturate

Please suggested any change

Hi Nirbhay,

Both of these diagrams that you provided are correct. The first diagram will sum both of the inputs to a total of 2 Vpp (datasheet max), and the second diagram will sum to 400 mVpp. If you exceed 2Vpp, yes, the ADC will saturate.

In my case if I am exceed 400mVpp, my ADC is saturating.What could be the reason ?

Are you determining that the ADC is saturated by looking at the output codes? Can you please check to see if the output data format is corresponding to what you expect to see (pin 8 is used to set output format)?

Can you please share the ADC schematic?
