DAC124S085EVM: No SPI signals coming out from the MSP430F5529 LaunchPad

Hello,

I am trying to test the DAC124S085EVM with MSP430F5529 LaunchPad. I followed the DAC124S085EVM user guide, downloaded the firmware to MSP430, and installed the USB driver required. But when I got to the final step in dac12xSxxx, and clicked "write", afterwards no clock signal can be seen from the board. Also, SYNC signal is always high, and DIN signal is not there either. Any step I may miss here?

Hi,

Did you update the drivers as mentioned in EVM user's guide step 2.3?

Also did you download dac12xsxxx_fw-v0.87.txt file and upgraded firmware?

Please post screenshot of the EVM GUI connected to EVM? EVM is detected in GUI?

Hi,

Your flashing screen shows no device connected?

Press the BSL button on the MSP430 Launchpad and connect to the PC with a USB cable; if detected, the text on the Firmware Upgrade tool will change from No device connected to Found 1 device. 5. Click the Upgrade Firmware button to program the Launchpad. Close the application when done.
