AMC7823EVM: ADC Data Invalid

Part Number: AMC7823EVM

Hi,

My AMC7823EVM is connected to a external 2.5V source as the reference voltage.

I send 0x128B, 0x40A0, 0x0020 to configure AMC7823EVM after power up. The ADC should be set up to convert channel 0, 1, and 2, with external trigger mode.

I then send 0x8002, 0x0000, 0x0000, 0x0000 to read back the ADC data from channel 0, 1, and 2. I got the correct channel number from the return data, but the ADC data are already 0xFFF (ie. 0x0FFF, 0x1FFF, 0x2FFF). I tried with/without a voltage source connected to the inputs, got 0xFFF as well.

I also tried to configure the chip to convert all 9 channels. I got 0xFFF from all 8 channels, but 0x000 from the temperature sensor channel. Again, the channel numbers from the return data are all correct.

Does anyone know what could cause this issue?

Thanks.
