How do I setup the TPL1401 as a programmable comparator?

It is possible to use the TPL1401 as an 8bit programmable comparator. To do this, write the desired comparator threshold value to the DPOT_POS bits in the DPOT_POSITION register. Find the correct code using the transfer function below:

Apply the input signal to the FB pin of the TPL1401 and the internal buffer will act as a comparator. If VIN > VTHRESH the output will be low, and if VIN < VTHRESH the output will be high.
With the nonvolatile memory on the TPL1401, the comparator threshold value can be saved. To save the value in the NVM view: [FAQ] How to generate a DC setpoint or bias using the TPL1401? This allows the comparator to be used without a processor after the device is initially programmed, even when power cycled.
