I see that the TPL1401 powers down to high impedance, or Hi-Z. What is the purpose of this?
By default, the TPL1401 will power down to high impedance. This is important for applications like power supply margining and scaling where you don’t want the device to drive the output low when it’s powered down. When taken out of power down, the device will power up with the voltage level that is stored in the nonvolatile memory.
To modify the power down state, write the desired code based on the table below to the DPOT_PDN bits in the GENERAL_CONFIG register.
