LMP90080-Q1: internal vs external CLK

Hi Bryan, 

I have not dealt with ADC chip having an option of external clock.  I am in a dilemma whether to use the internal clock of adc itself or get a resonator. I heard internal clock are unstable. Do you have some insights on this? 

FYI :I already am using 1.84meg oscillator for my micro . 

Please suggest.

    Hi Sharan,

    I think it is safe to say that we would not integrate an oscillator into our devices that was inherently unstable :)

    The min/max accuracy does not appear to be specified on the internal clock, so if you require a very accurate clock you should consider using an external oscillator. I would in general avoid using a crystal as we have had many customers have issues tuning these types of circuits.
