ADS7142: ADS7142-Q1

Part Number: ADS7142

I am looking for total un-adjusted error for ADS7142-Q1 to calculate ADC counts to send it to micro controller, can someone please me on this.

  • Hi Sainath,

    TUE is calculated by taking the root-sum-square (RSS) of the ADCs errors. In the case of the ADS7142 the errors include:

    Offset Error = +/-0.75 LSB
    Gain Error = +/-0.03 %FSR = +/-1.2 LSB
    DNL = +/-0.3 LSB
    INL = +/-0.5 LSB

    Normally the calculation is performed with the max values, but as the advanced information datasheet does not yet contain the max values I have selected the typical values. I recommend recalculating the TUE when the complete datasheet has been released.

    TUE = sqrt(0.75^2 + 1.2^2 + 0.3^2 + 0.5^2) = 1.53 LSB
  • Thanks Evan !

    Hello Sainath

    You have mentioned device as "ADS7142-Q1". Is this device going to be used in automotive application.

    This device is not auto qualified but designed for industrial range (-40C to 125C). Can you please let me know about your end application

    Thanks & Regards
