DAC34H84: Interfacing of DAC34H84 with ZC702 zynq fpga board

Part Number: DAC34H84

Hello sir,

I am using DAC34H84 and i want to interface it with ZC702 fpga board. I have written the code ( vhdl code and blocks ) and assigned pins also. Now i want to configure the DAC34H84 in order to test it. At the input side, i have applied sine and cosine waves of 10MHZ and 20 MHZ ( 4 inputs ) and output of DAC must be these waves ( sine and cosine) and that i want to display on DSO.

What are the major parts that need to be configured for DAC34H84 ? Interpolation , fifo , mixers ?? In all there are 50 registers, Is it  necessary to use all registers ?

please help me...

  • Niranjan,

The DAC34H84 have many flexibility in the digital sections to fit into various applications. Therefore, yes, you will need to configure the part according to your end applications needs.

you can refer to the app note below on the operations of the DAC, and also, the EVM software comes with some example configuration that you can refer along with the EVM user's guide. This will help you get started on your configuration.
