Part Number: AMC1204-Q1

Hello Del-Sig ADC team,

Current systems using AMC1204 with Sinc filters in ASIC.
In this case, are the effective bits of the whole system used to calculate by the fomula (K * log (2) M)?
(K means factor of sinc filer and M means decimation)
Otherwise is it simply applied ENOB?

Please let me have your advice which is correct??

  • Hi Tosh,

The AMC1204 datasheet references application note SBAA094 - table 1 in that document gives you the ideal SNR for a 2nd order modulator and provides the ENOB you can achieve.

    Regards,

    Tom
