ADC12DJ5200RFEVM: High noise level

Hello Team,

We are using the ADC12DJ5200RFEVM board with TSW14J57(rev. D) board set to JMODE1 (10.4 GSPS) and JMODE3 (5.2 GSPS).
We observe too high noise level, also we observe some samples drop in acquired signal (see attachments).

Can you help us to understand the reason of this problem.

Hi Vasily,

Looks like you are not using the correct ini file in HSDCpro. The INI file should be ADC12DJxx00RF_JMODE1 and ADC12DJxx00RF_JMODE3. Also you should use the TSW14J57RevE board instead of RevD board.

Thanks for your help. We have got TSW14J57RevE board and now ADC12DJ5200RFEVM works fine.
Can you tell us what is difference between TSW14J57 RevD and RevE. They look identical.

Hi Vasily,

The REVD board has a smaller FPGA. It was mainly used for ADC12DJ3200EVM but, after TSW14J57 REVE was released, there was no firmware development done on the REVD. So the firmware support for REVD is very limited. The REVE version supports all the 8b/10b modes for ADC12DJ5200RFEVM.

Hi Neeraj,

Thanks for reply. I have one more question: in JMODE1 (single channel, 10.4 GSPS, Fs =5.2GHz) without input signal we have interleaving spur at 2.6GHz.
I think it is offset mismatch spur. Foreground calibration block is enabled with offset calibration feature.
