Hi team

I just would like to confirm whether ADS1261-Q1 can be used in ADS1261EVM.

Customer wants to evaluate ADS1261-Q1 but no evm for ADS1261-Q1. So can ADS1261-Q1 be placed on ADS1261evm?

Hi Takahashi-san,

Yes, the ADS1261-Q1 should work on the ADS1261EVM...

The IC package for the ADS1261-Q1 is slightly different (RHM vs RHB), but the package size and pin pitch is the same, so mechanically, it should fit on the ADS1261EVM.

Meanwhile, the EVM software needs to see 8h in the DEV_ID register field; however, this value is the same between the ADS1261 and ADS1261-Q1 so there shouldn't be any software issues.
