AMC7836: Demo Board circuit & Are channels independent of each other

Part Number: AMC7836

I have some questions about AMC7836

1. Is AMC7836 independent of each channel? Do they influence each other?

2. When AMC7836 collects voltage, is the value of voltage collected stored in register and then transmitted to MCU by SPI? Or should we connect DAC directly to MCU and convert from MCU?

3. Is there any Demo Board circuit for reference?

Thanks

Jie

  • Hi Joe,

    1. All dacs have some AC or DC crosstalk between channels, but this should be minimal on the AMC7836, maybe a few microvolts.

    2. The ADC conversion results are stored in the AMCs registers. And SPI master, like a MCU, must read this values.

    3. Please see the AMC7836EVM.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  • Hi,Paul

I'd like to ask you again

Since we need to detect the negative pressure first, then the positive pressure; Can I control AVEE=VNEG or AVEE=AGND by MOS, and finally control AMC7836 to detect negative pressure first and then positive pressure

    Thanks

    Jie

  • Hi Jie,

I am not sure what your question is.  Do you want to use the ADC to measure a positive or negative voltage? Or you trying to set the DAC to be positive or negative?

The high-voltage ADC inputs have a range of ±12.5V with any supply configuration.

    Thanks,

    Paul
