ADC128S102: ADC128S102 Chip Select Monotonicity

Part Number: ADC128S102

Must CS be clean an monotonic like a clock? Or is it ok if it rings a bit and then settles out. The datasheet has a setup/hold requirement, but the pin description describes it as edge sensitive. thank you

    Hello,

    Unless the signal lines are overdamped, then most digital signals have some small ringing and overshoot.  Unless the signal levels of the overshoot/ringing pass through the Vih/Vil levels then they will likely not negatively affect the communication.

    You may consider adding a small 33Ohm resistor in series with each of the lines to combine with the capacitance of the trace to help reduce the ringing and reflections.
