ADS5482: Can I use ADS5482 for 100MHz input signal?

Hello,

Customer wants to use Ti 16bit ADC for 100MHz input signal converting.

Does he have to use over 200Msps ADC? or can use ADS5482 (105Msps)?

Hi Nicky
What type of signal are you capturing?
Do you need the DC information?
What is the minimum and maximum signal frequency?
If you only need to capture a narrow band of frequencies and don't care about DC it may be possible to sample at 105MSPS or even a lower rate.

Hi Jim,

Customer is looking for ADC which is used into RF Power Measurement device.
Its input bandwidth is Max. 100MHz.
Could you recommend ADC part for this application?

Nicky,

Take a look at ADC31JB68, ADS42LB69 and ADS54J69. They are all good choices. Customer will want to have a sample rate of at least 2.5X the maximum bandwidth of the input signal. Note the first device is single channel ADC while the other two devices are dual channel ADCs.
