CCS/TMS320F28022: Change the default file extension used for Linker Command Files? CCS 6

Using CCS 6.1.3 on Win7.

How do I tell CCS to use an extension like .CMND rather then .CMD for linker command files?

Sometimes I like to change my project files outside of CCS, and I have set most to open in my default editor by simply double clicking on the file.

In the case of the linker, however, the file extension is .CMD, and that runs a different thing in windows.

While I know I can change the file association for the .CMD, I'd rather use a different extension for the linker files.

Yes this is possible. You can add a file association by going to menu Window --> Preferences:

Then, at the project build properties, you can select the linker command file at:
