DLP3010EVM-LC: I want to implement structured light-control for projecting 2D pictures,Is there any dlp that can be realized?

Part Number: DLP3010EVM-LC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP4500-C350REF, DLPC350, DLPC300, DLP4500

  Dear engineer, hello!

I am using DLP3010EMV-LC for structural light control,I found out that the structural light-control for internal patterns could only store 1D pictures, but I wanted to store multiple 2D patterns.I found that the internal patterns mode does not support 2D patterns. Then I looked for other dlp development boards and found none that could store multiple 2D patterns.I found the DLPC300, but the DLPC300 is out of production. Then I found DLPC350+DLP4500, but the volume of my product should not be too big, so DLP4500-C350ref is not suitable for me.

I mainly use DLP scanning to achieve 3D modeling,I would like to ask you to recommend me a suitable DLP chip,It can store 2D patterns internally.thank you.

  • Hello User,

Welcome back to the E2E forum.

While our 3010EVM-LC does not support 2D pattern generation or storage, please allow me a few days to consider other options that might work for your use.

    Regards,

    Austin

  • Hello Austin Snyder,Thank you for your reply.

If you find a suitable DLP model, please let me know. Because now I urgently need to confirm the DLP model to carry out my work. Thank you.

  • Hello User,

Unfortunately we do not have any Light Control systems that can support internal 2D patterns. You may consider an external source for 2D pattern use.

    Austin

  • Hello Austin Snyder.

    Thank you for your reply.

Only one lllumintion can be set up for the external source. I want to set three lllumintion (RGB) colors and trigger each image or color switch.

While lllumination can be set to RGB, it has three colors in the same image and cannot trigger each color switch. Its color combinations do not produce any combinations like Internal Patterns. So this External Pattern function is not what I want either.

I hope you can recommend me some feasible solutions.Thank you.

  • Hello User,

Unfortunately, the trigger mode is not able to trigger each color switch in one pattern frame.

There is an option to manually calculate the timing between color switch based on the exposure time setting, but the trigger mode does not have the feature.

    Regards,

    Lori
