DLP660TE: micromirror array sizes of 3840x2160 or 4096x2160

Part Number: DLP660TE

Hi Experts,

Our customer is understanding that in order to have a native 4K output resolution it would be needed to have a 3840x2160 or 4096x2160 micromirror array size, otherwise, 4K resolution would be achieved using techniques such as pixel-shift…

As stated in this article, www.ravepubs.com/.../, this would be the case for 0.98” and 1.38” DMD chipsets, but he also didn’t find any model with this size in the link.

Aren’t these models displayed to the public?
Where can we find spec sheets for DMDs with micromirror array sizes of 3840x2160 or 4096x2160?

Trying to help our customer, I check our Display & projection products but was not able to see a DMD micromirror array sizes of 3840x2160 or 4096x2160. May we ask if you can help? Thank you.

Best regards,
Gerald

  • Gerald,

The 1.38" and 0.98" DC4K (4096 x 2160) DMD chipsets are DLP Cinema® parts. These parts and technical information are only available to specific DLP® partners and customers under NDA and other agreements; they are not on TI.com.

The company you are asking for does have access to this information.  If the individual that is asking has a need for access, they should have access to the information they need through the engineering team at their corporate headquarters (or someone there should request access for them).

    Regards,
    Gary
