A) Can I use DLP3010EVM-LC_9.0.1 to make a new flash firmware for our product flash? 
    I have update the new firmware for downloading the our product flash memory using FW 8.0. 

   Please refer to 2page of 231204_DLP3010EVM-LC.pdf. 

B) What is updated functions of FW 9.0.1 related to  the external pattern control?

Thank you for sending the settings for each test. I need you to also attach the patterns that way I can recreate the issue you are experiencing and attempt to find a resolution. Please attach the patterns and I will look further into this for you.

I have tested various patterns for the issue, and it has been consistently observed that the problem occurs across different configurations in V9.0.1.

Hello LP Kim,

When using the same test patterns you sent me from Test Pattern1.zip, and following your same configuration I see both patterns displayed properly. Can you try reflashing your EVM with the most recent v9.0.1 from our TI DLP Pico Firmware Selector tool? The img file you download should me named FWSel_DLPC3478_DLPA2005_pm1_i2c0x36_v9p0p1.img. Please make sure you are using DLP GUI version 3.2.0.6 for this firmware version.

1) Yes. The issue is solved using FWSel_DLPC3478_DLPA2005_pm1_i2c0x36_v9p0p1.img and  DLP GUI version 3.2.0.6

Q1) What is a difference between  DLP3010EVM-LC_9.0.1.img and FWSel_DLPC3478_DLPA2005_pm1_i2c0x36_v9p0p1.img

Is that ok?

Hi LP Kim,

Glad it worked! I am not sure the difference between the two firmware images you see, though I will look into it. If you also changed your GUI, then that may have been the only issue. The newest firmware release v9.0.1 needs to be used with GUI 3.2.0.6 or later. 

As for pin mapping/i2c address these are mostly only changed for custom boards where you may want to use a different address or pin mapping. For the EVM you should stick with the default 0x36 address and pin mapping option 1. So yes, you should be good to go moving forward using FWSel_DLPC3478_DLPA2005_pm1_i2c0x36_v9p0p1.img.
