Hello, TI experts

I have developing the software based on DLP3010LC-EVM according to the DLPC-API-1.10.

Now I could update the firmware using the DLPC-API-1.10.

But I can't successfully update the batch file using the API on the premise of not updating the firmware.

I I hope to update the DLPC3478 .bf file only to reduce waiting time.

Is this a feasible approach?

Hello Yang,

Welcome to the E2E forum.

What batch file is it that you are hoping to update? The batch files are built into the firmware, so replacing the batch file will mean replacing the entire firmware image.

Yes, you are right. I really want to update the batch file that built into the firmware. But if updating the whole firmware would wait a lot of time. So I hope only update the batch file instead of update the entire firmware. Is there a way to achieve it by API?

Hello Mayank,

I have searched for commands to update the batch file from the DLPC3478 programmer's guide. But there are only commands to update the pattern data.

Now I want to update the batch file stored in the flash, but there is no I2C command to support this. Is it possible to update the batch file by SPI commands?

Hello Yang,

It is not possible to only update the batch file. Rather the entire flash image must be flashed to update the batch file. You note that it takes too long re-flash the entire firmware. I should not that this should not take more than a couple of minutes and is only needed once. After the update the batch file will be run every time the system boots.
