DLPLCRC900DEVM: MIssing J26 connector

Part Number: DLPLCRC900DEVM

Hello,

I recently bought the DLPDCRC900DEVM board and it seems the connector J26 (LED module) is missing. Several years ago I had purchased the same product, and it did have that connector. As this is the connector to the LED modules, it seems important. Is this normal?

    Hi Rip,

    This board should have this connector installed. Do you think it may have been ripped off/damaged before you received this? I'm very sorry to hear that your board is in this condition.

    May I know where you bought your DLPLCRC900DEVM board from? Was it directly through TI, or was it from a third party?

    Lastly, before we continue, may I also get a picture of the board? I would like to see the section of the board where the J26 connector should be.

    Hi again ,

    You may go to the link at the bottom of this reply if you'd like to issue a return on your product. If you wish to get to this link in the future, I have provided a picture below for how to reach the link in the future. Please note that TI does not allow for EVMs to be returned, but EVMs do come with a 90-day warranty from the day you receive your product.

    We consider this 90-day warranty valid if the issue is brought up before that time, at which point, the "timer" for 90 days stops. (E.g., if you bring this up the 89th day to Texas Instruments, and two days pass, it is still valid because you brought up the issue to us before the 90 days were up).

    If you have not submitted for a return yet, we may also send you a couple of the connectors if you wish to place them on the board. May we get a picture still? This may be an easier process.

    Hi again ,

    Just wondering if you wanted to have us ship the connector, keep the board as-is, or buy the part yourself? The connector is currently less than 1 USD. 

    The part number for J26 is S14B-PHDSS(LF)(SN)(P) if you choose to buy it yourself (I see you're located in Europe and not the United States?)
