DLP7000: DLP7000 Mirror Damage threshold

Thank you for your time. The DLP7000 product mirror is damaged when the laser pulse width is 10 ns and the wavelength is 1064 nm.
1. I would like to know the heat damage threshold of DLP7000.
2. Are there any DMD products that can be used when the laser pulse width is 10ns and the wavelength is 1064nm?

The DLP7000 DMD is not specified to operate with wavelengths greater than 700 nm. See section 7.4 in the data sheet section 7.4

ENVIRONMENTAL For Illumination For Illumination Source <400 nm and >700 nm

ILL Illumination Max. 10 mW/cm²

Operation with wavelengths greater than 700 nm is primarily limited by the DMD window transmissivity .More information can be found in DMD Optical Efficiency for Visible Wavelengths (DLPA031)

TI does have several DMDs that can be used with 1064 nm wavelengths and with laser pulses.

To determine if the DMD can operated with your 10 ns wide 1064 nm laser you can calculate the critical DMD thermal temperatures utilizing the calculations in the application note.
Digital Micromirror Device Thermal Considerations Including Pulsed Optical Sources (DLPA027)

Each DMD data sheet specifies the allowable values for T_ARRAY and three thermal temperature locations (TP1,TP2,TP3) on the DMD package.

Along with the laser wavelength and pulse width of 10 ns (t_PULSE)

you will also need:

laser off time (t_OFF)

Peak incident power density during the pulse (W/cm²)

total incident average optical power to DMD (W)

Optical overfill (area outside of the DMD active mirror array also illuminated with laser energy)

The TI DLP650LNIR is the current DMD that can support the highest optical at 1064 nm
