DLPC231-Q1: Color analyzer integration

Part Number: DLPC231-Q1

Tool/software:

We are Konica Minolta Sensing division. We found that many of our customers, especially for automotive HUD and ARVR industries, are using TI DLP solutions. In TI software, TI would like to choose Konica Minolta color analyzer CA-210/CA-310/CA-410 as the sensor head to adjust the optical parameters of the display or projection effects. Now Konica Minolta released new generation color analyzer CA-510. We want to reach out to TI and have a discussion with your R&D guys how to integrate our new color analyzer in your system. We are looking forward to provide any supports if it is necessary. Please contact us.

We are Konica Minolta Sensing China sales team, which is located in Shanghai, China.

Here is my contact information: weiyu.shao@konicaminolta.com, +86-021-60571089-7012, +86-186-2160-2121.

Thank you.

  • Hi Konica Minolta Sensing division,

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'll forward this message along to management.

  • Hi,

I sent you a friend request and we can discuss further.  Support the CA-510 may be possible, however, in our experience we need to modify the SW, and also run several system tests to verify it performance our application.  This is true even if the CA-510 has better performance than the CA-410 since it might have different functions or reporting.  Currently, we do not have a CA-510 or have the budget to buy this analyzer.

  • Hi Jason,

    Glad to know you.

I'll accept the friend request, and we can discuss further.

As you know, Konica Minolta is not the end user, we are also the instrument provider. We all serve our customers well and provide the necessary technical support to ensure they can use our products better. Actually in your SW, it shows CA-210 in the drop-down list, but when we install the new SDK2 of CA-410, it works well. From our understanding, it should not be very complicated to upgrade the color analyzer to the latest model. Of course it`s better for us to have a test before releasing to the public.

My company is in Shanghai, China. If you have teammates or colleagues in Shanghai, we are glad to support. My proposal is to lend your team a demo unit for testing. Our product manager is also willing to provide any training if it is necessary. We also have branch companies in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Europe and the North America.

Please understand all our efforts are aim to provide better service and support to the end user. We feel that if we can corporate with TI better, it can benefit to both of our business. We should have the same customers in the market.

Please let me know whether you have additional comments or concerns.

    Thank you.

  • Thanks. Understood.  Let's discuss next steps offline.  We did spend some time to get the CA410 working originally.  We may need to do this again with the CA510.
