Dear TI team,
We are building a setup/instrument, where we need a digital light processing unit and we considering using your:

DLP® 0.95 1080p 2xLVDS Type-A DMD

We prefer to use our own light source and interface the DLP through Matlab software (or possibly C   if you can provide libraries and header files).
Could you provide a list of other products we need in order to control the DLP through a computer (evaluation boards etc.)?

Could you provide a "programmers guide" or similar to the DLP9500?

    Hi Jonas,

    You will need DLPC410 controller to control this DMD and application FPGA and memory. You will have to modify application FPGA verilog code as per your needs.

    Please check this EVM for details www.ti.com/.../DLPD4X00KIT

    May I know your pattern rate requirements ?

    thank you for your response.

    I am no to this field, so just to be safe:
    is the pattern rate the the time it takes to change the DLP from 1 pattern to another?
    In this case i believe a rate of 100 Hz (or 10 ms change time) would be sufficient.

    Is it possible to get application FPGA and memory bundled witht he controller?

    Hi Jonas,

    Pattern rate is maximum 1 bit patterns per second.
    For 100Hz requirement I would recommend using
    using www.ti.com/.../DLPLCR6500EVM
    It can support
    Up to 9,523 Hz binary pattern rate
    Up to 247 Hz 8-bit grayscale pattern rate

    This controller (DLPC900) with DLP6500 DMD( 1080p) has inbuilt RAM to store upto 400 1bit patterns
    and software API support to load images in RAM over I2C or USB.

    This EVM is complete system and you will just need to interface over I2C or USB in matlab.

    Yes correct DLP9000 will be 2560*1600 resolution. No additional hardware required.
