Developing middle-ware trying to connect arbitrary clients to the TI order system; during some tests i stumbled over line item numbers not being integer (but "1.0" in one case and "0010" in another one). While this error can be avoided on our side by suppressing any non-integer values the loss of line item numbers might degrade customer satisfaction.
Is it possible to extend the data-type for this field to "string"? In my eyes this should not raise any backward compatibility issues if integers are still accepted and interpreted as strings.
Hi Stefan,
thank you for sharing your observation and bringing this awareness to our support team- let me connect with our development team and respond back to you tomorrow.
I will be proposing to our development team to verify and if not set as such in all areas for this field - to extend the data-type for the field line item numbers to be set as "string'. Thank you again for sharing your observations..
