TI-API: Create order - single shipment

Part Number: TI-API
Since I could not find an answer here: https://e2e.ti.com/ nor in the backlog API documentation,
I would like to know if there is a method in the backlog API to consolidate an order into a single shipment?
Multiple shipments incurs extra costs.
I prefer a single shipment, even if it means a later delivery date.
Can this be achieved using the API? When I create the order?
  • Yoram,

We will try to consolidate if the estimated ship date delivery notes are close enough that will allow us to combine shipment for same customer address and all the Delivery’s are in a certain status.  But, if the shipments are not within same window dates of  the estimated ship date then shipments cannot be combined into a single shipment.   Let me know if this addresses your question.

  • The issue isn't about combining shipments from various orders. Rather, my concern is that a single order, such as order number 1023495285, is being split into multiple shipments. This results in additional costs for us. We would prefer that an entire order be shipped together, even if it means receiving it later.

  • Yoram,

At the time that you place the order, inventory availability and inventory replenishment factors into whether we need to split a shipment.  Our goal is to have inventory available, but, if the product is in demand,  it may result in splitting your order.  Unfortunately, we cannot control this.
