TI-API: Backlog Quote AP - some ambiguities in /backlog/quotes [post]

Part Number: TI-API

Tool/software:

1. I sent a 'quote' (/backlog/quotes [POST]) for 10,000 pieces of a certain product - in response I got that the minimum order quantity is 2,500 pieces. Does this mean that I can order (/backlog/orders [POST]) 2,500 pieces at the same price for which I received a response from /backlog/quotes [POST] for 10,000 pieces?

2. /backlog/quotes [GET] - what is the difference between boxquantity and packagequantity?

3.  /backlog/quotes [GET]  orderLeadTime - Is this value in days or weeks?

4.  /backlog/quotes [GET] - How to recognize the minimum shipping quantity?

  • Hello Anna,

    1. Yes, for creating a quote you use the annual volume per device (for example 10,000 units). Afterwards, you can order smaller batches (for example 2,500 units) with a reference to the received quote number.

    2. The boxquantity is the full box / outer pack total quantity and the packagequantity is the quantity in a carrier (usually reel size).

    3. The orderLeadTime is in weeks.

    4. The minimum shipping quantity can't be smaller than our standard packaging quantity. You can find more information about the packaging quantities with using our Material Attribute Search: Material attribute search

    Best regards,

    Tobias
