We are developing a communication system using DP83TC811S-Q1 ICs. We have recently discovered that the device documentation does not mention multipoint/multidrop/star topology support, which is a feature of the 802.3bw 100BASE-T1 standard. This topology is a requirement in our product design.
We have a couple of questions:

Hi Roman,
I believe there may be some confusion between the 100BASE-T1 standard and the 10BASE-T1S standard. 10B standard supports multi-drop but the 100B standard does not. 100B is only meant to be point to point. There can be only two 100BASE-T1 PHYs connected to each other at a time using a single cable.
I'm linking this thread for switch part numbers! This is a way that you would be able to build the mentioned design. https://e2e.ti.com/support/switches-multiplexers-group/switches-multiplexers/f/switches-multiplexers-forum/650038/ts3l501e-mii-switch This is an older thread, so I would recommend checking the portfolio for the latest parts.
The 811 can definitely be used in the star topology with a switch like you referenced, but TI does not currently build these switches.
Thanks,
Lysny
