I have reviewed the link of a similar topic, here: e2e.ti.com/.../hdmi-to-mipi-csi-2-interface

This discussion is over 8 years old, so I was hoping for a cleaner/more robust/updated solution. Are there alternative part families or reference designs that you can direct me to for the "Conversion" step of the two scenarios below?

HDMI Input -> Convert to USB3 -> Processor

HDMI Input -> Convert to MIPI CSI-2 - Processor

Hi Nathan,

You can use an FPD-Link III solution with the DS90UB949-Q1 + DS90UB940N-Q1 for HDMI to CSI-2.

That is helpful! The DS90UB949-Q1 is not available that I can see, and when I search for serializers with "HDMI input" the stock is "0" for everything. Do you have any suggestions for how to find an alternative?

Hello Nathan,

Due to the current supply constrained situation there is currently no stock of the DS90UB949-Q1 or DS90UB929-Q1 (lower speed version) in the TI store, but please work with your preferred authorized TI distributor to get a lead time for when 949 devices will be available. That is the only solution we have within TI for HDMI to CSI-2 conversion. You could use any of the following devices:

DS90UB949-Q1

DS90UH949-Q1

DS90UB949A-Q1

DS90UH949A-Q1

DS90UB929-Q1

DS90UH929-Q1
