Hi David,

Thankyou for your feedbacks.

1. In one of the feedbacks its mentioned to disable SIG_EN. May I know the reason for the same.

2. Since TMDS output lines are double terminated, is the VSADJ value selected fine or do I have to change it to compensate for double termination

Hi,

1. When SIG_EN is enabled, the TMDS181 enters standby mode when there is no valid clock device. This puts extra requirement on the clock start and stop timing. Since you can't control the source, I would recommend to disable the SIG_EN to remove this requirement.

2. Yes, you have to tune the VSADJ to compensate the drop in amplitude.

I would like to know the difference between TMDS181 and TMDS181I. Is it only the temperature difference as datasheet suggests.

Hi,

Yes, TMDS181 is from 0 to 85C and TMDS181I is from -40 to 85C.
