DS90UB941AS-Q1: Which states need to be restored manually, otherwise they will not work properly

Hi Ti:

We're doing diag program. There are some error flags such as DPHY_ERROR in GENERAL_STS register and others. Which status need to be fixed manually? Can you provide some advise? Thanks.

Hello,

What do you mean by "fixed manually"? Do you mean which bits in GENERAL_STS will need to be cleared manually? For example, DPHY_ERROR will not be cleared on read. In section 8.6.1.13 of the DS90UB941AS-Q1 datasheet the descriptions of each bit within GENERAL_STS are listed, and contain this information.

I mean, what are the real problems that need to be checked and corrected. Such as LINK_LOST error, if always exists ,need to check the equipments. I hope Ti can provide what status needs attention and inspection. Thanks.

Hi Arvin,

What specific errors are you receiving? Each of the errors in the GENERAL_STS register should be addressed, however they may be caused by either software or hardware problems.

Hi,

Apologies for the misunderstanding. All errors listed in the General_STS register (0xC) can affect the normal operation of the device and require attention. DSI_ERROR and DPHY_ERROR in bits 6 and 5 list several more specific errors that these general errors may represent. The more specific DSI and DPHY errors are described in the indirect registers.
