DP83822HF: LED_0 Keeps On after Fiber Cable Removal

Hello,

LED_0 keeps on even after the removal of a fiber cable. I expected the LED_0 to be turned off. What's wrong and how can I fix it?

  1. When a system is turned on without a fiber cable connection, the LED_0 is off.
    • This is expected.
  2. When a fiber cable is plugged in after the system is turned on, the LED_0 becomes on.
    • This is expected.
  3. After data communication begins, the LED_0 starts to blink.
    • This is expected.
  4. When the fiber cable is removed while the data communication is under way, the LED_0 still keeps blinking.
    • This is NOT expected.

The LED_0 should be configured as "ON for Good Link, BLINK for TX/RX Activity" since the DP83822HF is in CRS Strap Mode 1. The optical module is SFP and it has no SD signal.
