DP83TD510E: Question about Signal Quality Indicator(SQI)

Part Number: DP83TD510E

Hello,

I have a question about DP83TD510E Signal Quality Indicator.

I have refered to both the data sheet of DP83TD510E and Application Report "DP83TD510E Cable Diagnostics Toolkit", and hope understanding it further.

The accumulation of mean-square error (MSE)  is for those ternaly symbols  ("-1","0","+1" ) during valid communication?

In the case 7.5MS/s ternaly symbol is marginal for identification   ("-1" or  "0" or "+1" ) , then the value become worse?

Or inserting a test signal for testing?

Or the number of invalid triple ternary symbol?

When the SQI shows the health of active link is "Good", even if the Return Loss does not meet the Link Segment requirement (>13dB @0.5<f<20MHz) ,

the link can keep working normally? as

Thanks.
