Hi David

Some recommendations are not very clear:

1. A02216005: This violates the DP Alt Mode spec is’ this ok?  I don’t quite understand the so-called violations DP Alt Mode means that the DP Alt Mode must be connected to all 4 lanes? Or does it mean that AUX DP/DN is wrong?

Hi,

The DP Alt Mode over Type-C requires Assignment C support which is 4 DP lanes. Since only 2 DP lanes are being implemented, this would violate the Assignment C support requirement.

According to Ti spec description, TUSB1146i can be select one port USB3+2lanes DP(with FLIP or NO FLIP),

Hi,

The TUBS1146 can support one port USB3+2lanes DP or 4 lanes DP. But I am referring to the VESA DisplayPort Alt Mode on USB Type-C Standard which requires 4 lanes DP support.
