Hi,

i am building an infrared camera based on Jetson TX2 

The sensor output 640x480 parallel 16bit (grayscale/raw) upto 120Hz.

I would like to connect it to the CSI-2 port.

I was thinking of using DS90UB921-Q1 connected to DS90UB940-Q1. 

I am not sure with this is a good couple to get my sensor working.

    Hello Pascal,

    I see you are trying to use an infrared image sensor. I suggest you take a look at the FPD-Link ADAS (automated drivers assistance system) portfolio. The DS90UB921-Q1 and the DS90UB940-Q1 are part of the IVI (infotainment) portfolio.

    I would suggest using the 933/913A serializer paired with a 936/954/958 deserializer. If you don't want to use the ADAS devices, is there are any particular reason for that?

    Thank you for you answer.

    the 933/913A are 12bits.

    At least, 14bits are mandatories and the pixel clock range is 5MHz to 40MHz depends on the framerate needed for the application.

    What do you think about the DS90UB901?

    thank you 921, 933/913, 936/954/958 are not available to buy. The 901 and 940 seems to be buyable. are they compatible?

    Hello Pascal,

    The DS90UB940-Q1 was designed to be used with the DS90UB949-Q1 or DS90UB947-Q1 serializers, but the device is backward-compatible with the DS90UB925Q-Q1, DS90UB925AQ-Q1, and DS90UB927Q-Q1 FPD-Link III serializers.

    In your case, I would suggest using the DS90UB901 and DS90UB954. The 901 does not support coax, so you will have to use STP cable and you will have to use the 954 in DVP mode, which is the backwards compatibility mode. 

    The 954 is available to buy.
