Hello,

I need to connect two DSI displays, a two lanes and a four lanes one, over a 50cm distance from the host by means of FTP LAN cable, plugs and jacks.

Must I use a retimer to guarantee a reliable functionality?

    Do you know how much is the loss of the  FTP LAN cable, plugs and jacks? Also what is the data rate you are trying to support?

    The DPHY440 can support max data rate of 1.5G, It has both receiver equalizer and transmitter pre-emphasis to compensate the channel ISI loss. Three RX equalization levels are available at 0 dB, 2.5 dB, and 5 dB at 750MHz Nyquist frequency. Two TX pre-emphasis levels are available at 0dB and 2.5dB. Depending on the channel loss and the placement of the DPHY440, we can use both RX equalizer and TX pre-emphasis to achieve the optimal result.
