Hello,
Following app note gives details of 826 for EtherCAT application :
No strap is required. To enable fast link-down requirement of EtherCAT you will need to program "fast link down" functionality by register programming.

Hello Vikram,
thanks for the support. I have already looked at the proposed guide.
Here are the specifications for interfacing a PHY with an ethercat slave controller
download.beckhoff.com/.../an_phy_selection_guidev2.6.pdf
Section 2 Ethernet PHY Requirements contains the following specifications:
"
- PHY configuration must not rely on configuration via the MII management interface, i.e., required features
have to be enabled after power-on, e.g., by default or by strapping options. PHY startup should not rely on
MII management interaction, i.e., MDC clocking, since many ESCs do not communicate with the PHY via
management interface unless the EtherCAT master requests this (only the EtherCAT IP Core with MI Link
detection and configuration will communicate without master interaction)."
Could I know what is the correct configuration to interface an ethercat slave controller with DP83826I?
Regards,
Matteo
On SNLA344A Section 3.2 Different Configuration Methods of the DP83826 PHY says:
"To setup the DP83826 for EtherCAT® using only strap configuration, contact the TI e2e forum or your local sales
representative for further support solving this. "
At the moment I could not find the working straps configuration for my application. Could I know how to do it right?
Regards,
Matteo
Hello Matteo,
I sent you a connect request. You may reach out to me over email and we can get to know about your application in further details. We can discuss the optimization of straps for EtherCAT application over the email.

Hello,
could someone help me? I wrote in the forum a month ago and sent dozens private emails with no results.
Could you provide me technical support for my application?
Matteo
Hello Mr Matteo,
Is technical support requirement only limited to make sure that your part supports EtherCAT without any register programming? For this as you mentioned, you have been connected to the sales support who are looking into this and to provide you with required part information. I have followed up internaly again with team to help you with faster resolution. You will hear back again from the sales team soon
