I am trying to understand your question one more time.

Previously customer use PHY + Magnetic + RJ45 connector

Now customer wants to use PHY + capacitive isolation + RJ45 connector 

The idea is to interface to an external master as part of the ethercat solution. is that correct ?

Yes, this is first time to investigate capacitive isolation for ECAT,  so they would like to know the notice or any limitation for the usage. Could you support?

Hey Sreenivasa,

No thoughts specifically.    I just need to know if the DP82826I can operate in a transformerless configuration (i.e. capacitively coupled) as my application is sending the coupled ethernet signal across a backplane.   No need for EtherCAT support.
