Yep, in the design the ontroller is an Infineon xmc4800 as ethercat slave. The PHY is a BCM5241. We would upgrade the PHY because it is obsolete and we thought about DP83826I.
We've read:

- DP83826I's datasheet, 

- Application report SNLA344A "How and Why to Use the DP83826E for EtherCAT® Applications"

- All posts in this forum

So, at the end there are not clear information about strapping method. Could you help us?

Hello Kallikuppa Sreenivasa , 

I understood that DP82836I must be in enhanced mode to work with EtherCAT.

On the application report SNLA344A (section 3.2) there is this expression: "To setup the DP83826 for EtherCAT® using only strap configuration, contact the TI e2e forum for further support solving this. "  So, here I am.

I would start this project as soon as possible.
