TUSB320HI: Hot swap issue happens when the device connected with some specific PC via USB-C/USB-C cable.

Part Number: TUSB320HI

Hi,

In somecases, our USB device is not recognized by the host PC which connected usb-c/usb-c cable.

We are using our device in DRP mode as default.
PORT pin is NC.
We have not made any configuration changes via I2C.

Conditions

The following 3 conditions are necessary for the issue to occur.

  • Connect the host PC and the device with using usb-c - usb-c cable directly.
If we use usb-a - usb-c cable instead, it works correctly.
And also when the device connected through a USB hub, the issue does not occur.
  • The issue only occurs on certain PCs.
    Doesn't work: MSSurface
    Works : HP Pro X2
  • The issue only occurs in hot swap situations.
If the cable is connected befor the device is turned on, it will be recognized correctly.

Could you give us some solution or advice?

Thank you.
