DP83865: CRC error

Hi Alberto, 

Are you starting a new design with the DP83865 or is this an old design? The DP83865 is not recommended for new designs and we can only offer limited support. We do not have a script for the DP83865. If this is a new design, please use the DP83867 instead.

I'm working on an old design, so I can't use the DP83867.

I've tried the settings reported in this thread:

but they don't fix the issue.

In the DP83865 manual and in this thread I've seen that there is an extended memory space for the DP83865.

Could you provide me the registers map of the extended memory space for the DP83865?

Hi Alberto, 

Unfortunately we do not have any information other than what is in the datasheet so cannot provide a register map. Can you tell us more about your system? What is the cable length/type? Can you share the schematic with us?

Hi David,

our schematic agrees with the one reported in the DP83865 datasheet.

We use the magnetic WE7499111446 and the oscillator is compliant with the spec found in the snla056d and snla065a application notes.

We experience errors with both short (1 m) and long (20 m) cables.

Your image is lacking information such as resistor and capacitor values so it will not be possible for me to check much of what is in the datasheet, design guide, and troubleshooting guide. Please confirm your design is in accordance with those 3 documents. Since this device is NRND, we are unable to offer any additional information outside of the documents you already see on ti.com.
