DS90UB954-Q1: FPD-Link III available data rate

Hi,

I connect DS90UB954 - DS90UB953 for my application.

In the previous question I know how to set the FPD-Link III data rate to 4Gbps or 2Gbps by setting the register 0x58, backchannel frequency.

2Gbps data rate helps to reduce noise a lot, so we're thinking about to set the data rate to 1.5Gbps. I know this seems not available by reading datasheet but I need your confirm, thanks a lot.

Hello,

The data rates in the datasheet are what we have available to operate the device at. Are you having issues running at 4G or 2G and if so what kind of problems are you experiencing, may be able to help fix the root of the problem?

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your quick reply.

My board has LTE function and we are testing the over the air signal.

We found that when SERDES start to transmit image data the LTE signal gets bad.

In the original question post Shruti has suggested some ways to improve it, but currently we just want to know if line rate could be configured as 1.5Gbps, thanks.

Hi Chris,

The two ranges we have listed in the datasheet are what have been fully tested are know to be stable and work well. Allow me a few days to look into what options we have to change the datarate.
