Hi all,

 My customer finish their TPS65994AD design and send their board to GRL for certification. All the test items are passed except

1. PD2:  TDA.2.3.3.2 POW SNK TRANS PC_6:

     DUT Request 0mA and Drawn current 10207.6252mW at timestamp 36.62738062. Limit [ <= 25mW]

2. PD3: TD.PD.VDM3.E1 Fields Checks Discover Identity

    (UFP VDO) : Dut sent Invalid message: VDO version field
    (DFP VDO) : Dut sent Invalid message: VDO Version field

 Do you have idea how to modify  PJT or VIF to fix the issues? Thanks for you kindly help.

  • Hi Gary,

    Could you please post this question via Internal E2E or Jira?

    For a short answer, yes the VIF or pjt will need to be modified so they match completely. The VIF can be edited using the USB-IF software XML Vendor Info File Editor. For issue 1 though, this might mean that there is some power leaking from the PD somehow, I would recommend capturing the full PD log and checking where this current is going in the design.

    For issue 2, you will need to double check the TX Identity (0x47) register for the version number.

    Thank you,

    Hari
