Hi Alex,

I need a clarification on how do you connect 720 PHYs to the RJ45 wire because 720 PHYs does not support RJ45 cable. Did you used a media converter?

Hi Hillman,

We connect DP83848CVV to 720 PHY on our PCBA, so one side is "RJ45" from DP83848CVV usage, the other side is automotive 1000BASE-T1 (TRD_M/P) from 720PHY.

We set one PCBA as a master, the other is a slave, then connect Master's TRD_M/P to Slave's TRD_M/P. If this connection is acceptable, we use 2 PC like above fig., set the IP properly, it should be possible to ping each others.

Hi Chen,

Have you test the link up with two 720 PHYs only?
Have you also try the link up between PC and 848 PHY only?
