TPS65983B: failing on PD certification tests

Part Number: TPS65983B

Hi, we are using a tps65983b in a single port, self powered Thunderbolt design. We are using the Type - C port as Thunderbolt only, and we are a peripheral (UFP), with type -c receptacle connector.

We are following a reference design. We are failing two of the PD tests.

Across the all settings we are NOT USB capable.

Test 1 result:

FAILED ---   Checking ID Header VDOConnector    -- Type field shall be 10b (USB Type-C Receptacle) if the UUT doesn't have a captive cable

Test 2 result:

FAILED --- Checking VDO 2 (ID Header)Connector Type field must be 11b (USB Type-C Plug) or 10b (USB Type-C Receptacle)

INFO   ---  Checking VDO 2 (ID Header)UUT is a PDUSB Peripheral (UFP)

INFO  ---- Checking VDO 2 (ID Header)UUT is an Undefined DFP

Should we enable the DR swap in order the PD handshake to pass correctly? Or some other setting?

In the System configuration tab are checked:

in section Source/Sink Capabilities Configuration:

Data Role Swap Capable - No

Dual Role Power Capable - Yes

in section Miscellaneous HW Configuration:

Port connection - Standard Full Type C receptacle

in the Transmit Identity data Object tab:

Product type - Peripheral
