Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP, , USB2ANY
Our project use TI 953 and TI 960, and we want test the margin.
So we want to connect the I2C of TI 953 to TI EVM(DS90UB953-Q1EVM), and then use ALP on computer to test the margin. Is that right

Hello,
Margin analysis should be conducted at the deserializer side. You can look at the user's guide here https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snlu243/snlu243.pdf

We can't find the connection among TI 953 , TI 960 and TI EVM in the guide. Where can we find it?
Hello,
Do you have a standalone USB2ANY device or are you using the one onboard the 953 EVM? If it is standalone then just connect the I2C to the 960 board. If you are using the onboard one then connect the I2C lines from the EVM to the 960 I2C port and hold PDB low on the EVM while you are communicating with 960.
The 960 contains the AEQ circuit that you are testing the margin on. What the tool is going to do is cycle through all the possible combinations of AEQ settings and some settings are not going to work which will cause LOCK drop. Therefore you must test from des side to get results.
