We need to transfer I2C data less than 1Mbps for up to 5 meters using RJ11 cable is it recommended,
or only Belden cable 9842 similar RS485 with 2 pair twisted cable is mandatory for Power, SDA, SCL, Gnd

Both Ethernet and RS-485 cables are designed for differential signals. I²C is not differential. When using twisted pairs, ensure that SDA and SCL do not end up in the same pair.
To reduce crosstalk, use cables where individual pairs are shielded (FTP or S/FTP). The Belden 9842 has only an outer shield.
