TCA39306: In Translation configuration. EN pin was controlled by GPIO

Hi,

I am using the TCA39306 as an I2C translator. In the datasheet, I see the translation configuration where Vref2 > Vref1 + 0.7V used EN pin connect with Vref2.

So, I have a question, In this case, I want to control EN pin by GPIO it's correct or not? or any potential issue? as attached image.

EN must be connected to Vref2. If you want to pull EN low, do it with an open-collector or open-drain output. See [FAQ] How do the LSF translators work?

Other circuits might be possible. What is the GPIO voltage?

Thank Clemens, The GPIO voltage for this circuit is 3V3.

Is this VCC1 or VCC2?

Hi Clemens, The VCC1 = 1V8, VCC2 = 3V3, I want to the EN pin was controlled by GPIO of FPGA with level 3V3 voltage.

Then your only choice is to configure the GPIO as open drain.
