I am using DP83TD510E for my Industrial Communication project.

I have already raised a query on using 2 boards as Media Converters. The setup is working fine. The Communication link is established.

Now I wanted to know if the below setup is possible. Check the connection diagram and let me know if it is correct.

Please let me know if the communication will be established.

Or let me know how to use SPE board in RMII Slave mode.

I verified the User Guide and made the changes in the hardware. But the communication is not established.

My query is in One setup DP88TD510E is configured as RMII Master and in other board setup DP88TD510E is used as RMII Slave.

Both the boards are connected via SPE connector.

Will this communication setup work?

Hi Priya,

The MAC side mode of the PHY doesn't affect the functionality of the PHY on the Copper side. So, irrespective of whether 510E is RMII Master/Slave, both the 510E PHYs should link-up.

Can you please check whether the PHYs are able to link-up? This is indicated by LEDs on the EVM.
Is register access available on both the PHYs?
