Hi Sir,

We got the request from customer, they would like to have the redriver for quad mode (4 bit) SPI interface... did we have any candidate for it?

They would like to evaluate the redriver for touch pad which with SPI interface.

Quad SPI typically uses bidrectional signals. For such a protocol, buffering is not possible without a separate direction signal.

Is there more information about that touch pad protocol?

We use Gen-Z connector for touch pad interface. And still need candidate for Quad SPI that uses bidrectional signals. Could you recommend product for it ?

Hi Jacky

The Quad SPI includes 4 bit data but the total bit count should be 6 including SS and SCLK.

Because SPI interface typically is bidirectional, TXB0106(auto bidirectional device) is recommended for its push-pull output and good signal integrity.

TXB0106 looks like bidirectional level-shifting. Could it be re-driver application ?

The TXB has less drive strength at its outputs than it requires at its inputs (this is how it implements bidirectionality). So it cannot be used as a buffer/redriver.
