I was going through the part DP83848 (10/100-Mbps Ethernet PHY transceiver) and in the ordering info within datasheet, I found that P/N DP83848YB only differs from other parts(DP83848I/ DP83848C) in terms of package which is HLQFP.
Then I went to the webpage of evaluation board DP83848I-MAU-EK and scrolling down, I found below data,
There’s schematics and BOM of DP83848C/I/YB. Seeing this, I initially thought that DP83848YB is a multichip module, but datasheet states the contrary.
Could anyone please clarify? What are the files under the link – ‘DP83848C/I/YB Bill of Materials’ & ‘DP83848C/I/YB Schematic’? Is there also an evaluation board with the same P/N as IC?
Thank you in advance.
Hi Anandhu,
The DP83848YB is not a multichip module. The DP83848I-MAU-EK is our evaluation board for the DP83848I. Please refer to the files "DP83848 MAU Schematics" and "DP83848 MAU Bill of Materials", and ignore the rest.
Thanks,
David
